Faith closed her eyes as she sank down once more into Kennedy,
inhaling her musk. Settling her chin on the young slayer's
thighs, she sighed to herself, and pushed down all the doubts she
had about being with her. After all, she had almost nothing in
common with the girl, or so she tried to tell herself. She turned
her concentration back to her task, and her memory to earlier
that evening in the alley behind their apartment building.
"What do you mean, I can't go patrolling with
you" Kennedy leaned back against the building, lifting her
leg to put her boot flat against the wall. "In case you
haven't noticed, I'm a slayer too." She hooked a thumb
through her beltloop, grabbing the cigarette out of Faith's
mouth, and taking a drag. "See? Slayer healing and
everything...I didn't even choke."
Faith smacked the cigarette out of Kennedy's hand, instantly
regretting it. "Kenn, I..." The once-rogue slayer
trailed off, unwilling to make excuses for the unforgivable.
Kennedy's eyes widened, and she stood up, staring at Faith
incredulously. :You've got to be kidding me! Whoa,
man...hypo-alert...as in 'crite'." Kennedy turned to walk
out of the alley, and said over her shoulder, "When you
realize I'm not just 'Red's ex-girlfriend', you can call me. I'll
be at my 'rent's."
And that had been that. Until Faith ran after her, and made
her listen, and tried to explain, that she just wasn't used to
someone caring. And Kennedy believed her. Or at least, forgave
her. Faith figured it was all the same. Trouble was, she thought
she might actually be falling for the brat from 'the city'. A
frustrated moan from above brought her back to the present,
though, and she leaned forward, slipping her tongue into the
moist folds of skin. Hearing the short gasps of air from Kennedy,
she thought about the night in the park, near the forgotten train
tracks.
"We don't have to, like, commit or anything."
Faith looked down at the tracks below, and kicked at a pebble.
"I mean, I just figured it could be cool. Y'know, hang out,
patrol, and it'd probably be easier to afford rent around
here."
"Okay." Kennedy looked down also, avoiding Faith's
eyes. I haven't heard from Willow in a month, y'know. Not since
she broke up with me."
"I'm sorry, Kenn. She's going through alot, y'know?"
Faith looked sideways at Kennedy, and thought about how much she
wanted to 'comfort' the former potential.
"Yeah, I know. Hey Faith..." Kennedy trailed off,
waiting for Faith to acknowledge her.
"Wha?" Faith pulled a stake out of her jacket and toyed
with it, driving it into the earth beneath her.
"Can I,y'know, kiss ya?" Kennedy looked up at the dark
slayer, then back down at her patched jeans.
Faith shugged, then realized Kennedy wasn't looking. "Sure.
Okay."
Kennedy looked at Faith, then mentally shrugged. Closing her
eyes, she leaned in and kissed Faith, sensuously and deep.
Faith had figured she was a rebound. No big, she'd been there before, and Kennedy was hot slayery goodness. But this was something else. The sex was incredible, she had to admit to herself, as she held Kennedy as she shuddered through her orgasm, and slowly, predatorily flipped them over, putting that barbell to good work. Faith was unsure of what exactly was going on in her mind, but it was definitely not what she was used to.
Maybe she'd have to learn.

Lyrics to Glycerine by Bush:
must be your skin that i'm sinking in must be for real cuz now
i can feel
and i didn't mind it's not my kind it's not my time to wonder why
everything's gone white and everything's grey
now you're here now you're away
i don't want this remember that
i'll never forget where you're at
don't let the days go by
glycerine
i'm never alone i'm alone all the time
are you at one or do you lie
we live in a wheel where everyone steals
but when we rise it's like strawberry fields
if i treated you bad you bruise my face
couldn't love you more you got a beautiful taste
don't let the days go by
could have been easier on youi couldn't change though i wanted to
should have been easier by three our old friend fear and you and
me
glycerine, glycerine
don't let the days go by
glycerine
don't let the days go by
glycerine, glycerine
glycerine, glycerine
bad moon white again
bad moon white again
and she falls around me
i needed you more you wanted us less
i could not kiss just regress it might just be
clear simple and plain that's just fine
that's just one of my names
don' tlet the days go by
could've been easier on you, you, you
glycerine, glycerine
glycerine, glycerine
